Frequently Asked Questions
Can it replace any fiber modem?
No. GPON support alone does not establish interoperability. The operator must accept the ONT and provision the correct authentication and service profiles.
Can I use a SIM card?
No. The network uplink is GPON fiber, not a cellular modem.
Does the telephone port work immediately?
The POTS port requires a configured voice service. Having the connector does not itself activate a telephone account.
Is this an XGS-PON or multi-gigabit Ethernet model?
No. This model is documented with GPON and four Gigabit Ethernet ports. For a different access standard or faster Ethernet, select a model specified for that requirement.
